Welcome back to this month’s Technology Alliance Tuesday (#TAPTuesday) team feature! On the first Tuesday of every month, we spotlight a member of the BeyondTrust Technology Alliances Team. We ask leading questions to gain their expert insights and see what they are looking forward to the most in 2023.This week, I got the opportunity to sit down with Joshua Tabares, Operations Analyst at BeyondTrust, to learn more about what drives his hunger for change—and efficiency.
Let’s dive in.

Meet Josh Tabares
Joshua (Josh) has been with BeyondTrust for one year and five months. In his short time, he’s “learned so much...within the Operations realm of the Technology Alliances and Channel teams.”
The BeyondTrust Technology Alliance and Channel programs are built around the belief that, in order to enable a world where identities and access are protected from cyberthreats, we need to invest in strategic partnerships and integrations with the leading security technology vendors. Behind the strategy driving that vision is an operations team helping to ensure processes and logistics are as streamlined as possible. The BeyondTrust Channel Operations team oversees onboarding new partners, and managing channel partner programs, including partner tiering, incentive programs, and performance tracking. The team ensures that channel partners adhere to the company's policies, procedures, and contractual agreements, and provides regular reporting on channel performance.
As a critical member of the Technology Alliances team, Josh oversees all Technology Alliances logistics such as NFR licensing distribution, ServiceNow, and Salesforce Enablement requests, as well as assisting in driving engagement efforts for AWS and Microsoft, like co-sell and partner portal deal registrations. He also assists the Channel Operations team with tasks and projects that streamline processes for the Channel org, including Tech Alliances.
Josh is a well-versed Operations contributor who can gather, organize, and interpret effective business data. This, coupled with his strong desire to make a positive impact on the BeyondTrust Channel operations, has proven him to be a team player who can get the job done and share the glory with others.
This is Josh’s first job in Cybersecurity, and I can attest that he has hit the ground running. His hunger to help drive change and create efficiency has helped the BeyondTrust Technology Alliances team in strides.

What is Josh most excited about for the technology alliances team in 2023?
Josh is most excited about driving joint efforts between the Technology Alliances and Channel Operations teams to drive efficiency on current processes and implement new technology to advance our backend operations. In Josh’s day-to-day, he takes note of what works and what doesn’t, and documents all his findings into a workbook that serves as a learning resource/guide that he and his team can leverage as needed. This just reaffirms Josh’s desire to help others to succeed.
What’s Josh's favorite thing about his work on the BeyondTrust Technology Alliance Team?
Josh loves solving problems! Specifically, problems that have little to no instructions or intel. Josh said this helps him, “take the wheel” and offers him autonomy in how best he can approach the problem, conduct research, document findings, and state his case once he solves those problems. He gets numerous requests from different members of the BeyondTrust organization, and he knows each instance will be a mystery—that’s what makes it exciting for him!
What is Josh's favorite breakfast meal or food?
In wrapping up the interview, I always like to finish with something a little fun. Food! Who doesn’t love to chat about their favorite snacks? Josh had no hesitation when answering this question: his favorite food is Korean BBQ! It has to be good if it’s that clearly a favorite. I too would have to agree, it’s a hard one to beat.
