Welcome to Technology Alliance Tuesday’s team features, where the first Tuesday of every month, we spotlight a member of the BeyondTrust Technology Alliances Team.

For this feature series, we’ve sat down with each member of the team to gain their expert insights into Tech Alliances at BeyondTrust and what they are looking forward to the most in 2023. We also asked some leading questions so we can get to know them all that little bit better.

This week, we interviewed David Manks, Vice President of Strategic Alliances at BeyondTrust, to get a sneak peek at what drives him as he leads the team headlong into 2023. Let’s take a look at what we learned.

Meet David Manks

As Vice President of Strategic Alliances, David Manks is responsible for Beyond Trust’s strategic technology alliance partnerships and overall ecosystem of 60+ integration partners. David has over 25 years’ experience as a partner and marketing leader in the software and security space. He brings an extensive background and a ton of experience to BeyondTrust having led product, marketing, and partner teams for such industry leaders as SailPoint, SonicWall, Dell, BMC, and Citrix.

What is David Manks most excited about for the technology alliances team in 2023?

As we kick off 2023 David is most excited about investing, innovating, and integrating more!

“Our customers need products that can easily integrate with limited development and resources required. We are looking to enhance our processes, integrations, tools and ways to help to tell our technology alliance story externally, internally, and throughout our ecosystem of partners.”

Together with our partners, we want to create solutions that complement each other and work together seamlessly.

“Our goal is to go deep with our top strategic alliances, broadening our overall technology alliance program and processes, and looking to be where our customers want to purchase our solutions by leveraging new routes to market, such as external Marketplaces.

We launched our AWS Marketplace offerings this past year, so we are seeing great traction there and want to continue to broaden this. We have a number of new and exciting partnerships and integrations on the horizon that I know our customers and reseller partners will be very excited about,” said David.

What’s David’s favorite thing about his work on the BeyondTrust Technology Alliance Team?

Beyond excitement for the year, we asked David what he enjoyed most about his work on the BeyondTrust Technology Alliances Team. Here was his response:

“That’s an easy one—it’s all about my incredible Technology Alliance team and the amazing people here at BeyondTrust!

“From the leadership team and across the organization, everyone is so great to work with; they are dedicated, driven for results and success, and so easy to work with. It just makes it so much fun to work for such an incredible company.”

What is David’s favorite breakfast meal or food?

To really get the full picture of the Technology Alliances team, we had to understand how they start their day—and what they eat for breakfast. David’s response didn’t disappoint!

“I just love breakfast! It’s my favorite meal and I can eat it anytime. It’s one of my easy go-to meals for dinner when we don’t feel like making anything. I love it all: eggs, pancakes, home fries, bacon—did I say bacon?! The whole deal!”

Sounds like breakfast food is fan favorite in the Manks house.
