At least for this week, I believe the saying “What happens in Las Vegas, stays in Las Vegas” should be shelved, and, in this blog, I am inclined to share why.
From September 30 through October 3rd at the Aria, McAfee hosted their 12 annual MPOWER Cybersecurity Summit. And, I must say—what an amazing week with a fantastic partner!
Let me walk you through a few highlights:
- First, the Aria hotel, right on the Las Vegas strip, stands out as an amazing property and event venue. Whether you are there for recreation, gambling (I did play a little cards, after hours), or for a convention like MPOWER, the venue is stunning and truly world-class. This was just a bonus to the event itself.
- Second, was SIA DevCon. The McAfee Security Innovation Alliance (SIA) devoted a full day to walking developers and partners through roadmaps, integrations, strategy, and new features. Honestly, this is about as mature of a program as I have ever seen. Why anyone would not want to partner with McAfee on building the future of cybersecurity is beyond me. There is only more great stuff to come.
- Third, the sessions. I did have some time to attend a variety of sessions. The material was well constructed, demonstrated genuine thought leadership, and highlighted many of the success factors making the solutions from McAfee truly best-in-class.
- Finally, as biased as it may sound, my presentation on Just-In-Time Privileged Access Management (PAM) and McAfee ePO integration. We had an energized room of attendees as we highlighted the next phase in the evolution of privilege management and how ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) users can take advantage of powerful integrations from BeyondTrust Password Safe and Endpoint Privilege Management with ePO. Thank you all who attended.
If you are a McAfee customer or partner and have never attended MPOWER, make the commitment to attend next year. There are few vendor-specific tradeshows that I would recommend, MPOWER easily makes that exclusive shortlist.
Jointly, McAfee and BeyondTrust are solving the next wave of emerging security problems together. If you would like more information on the BeyondTrust and McAfee partnership and our revolutionary integrations, please check out this new blog (with video): How BeyondTrust PAM + McAfee ePO Closes Security Gaps Across Users, Accounts, & Systems.
By the way, if you happen to be a BeyondTrust customer, there’s still time to register and attend our first user conference: Go Beyond 2019, hosted in Scottsdale Arizona. You can learn more and register here.
