Texas agencies can now deploy BeyondTrust with confidence. Identity Security Insights®, Password Safe, Endpoint Privilege Management, Privileged Remote Access, Remote Support, and Entitle are all TX-RAMP Level 2 Certified. Identity Security Insights, Privileged Remote Access, and Remote Support are also FedRAMP® Moderate Authorized.

TX-RAMP is the mandatory minimum for cloud computing services that handle, store, or transmit confidential agency data classified as a moderate or high impact information resource. The achievement of this certification reinforces BeyondTrust’s leadership in delivering trusted technology solutions that reduce risk, strengthen security posture, and drive measurable outcomes across environments.

Powerful identity iecurity benefits for agencies and departments across state and local government:

  • Faster awards and shorter buying cycles
TX-RAMP Level 2 across our products reduces bespoke security reviews so agencies can move from selection to award sooner.
  • Audit-ready from day one
Exportable evidence mapped to NIST 800 53 Moderate, continuous monitoring, full session recordings, and credential histories streamline audits and close POA&M items faster.
  • Lower identity risk at scale
Remove local admin rights on endpoints, vault and rotate credentials automatically, enforce just-in-time access and approvals, and record every privileged action for accountability.
  • Fewer incidents and faster containment
Stop lateral movement and privilege escalation before damage spreads. Isolate risky sessions and revoke access in minutes to limit impact.
  • Higher productivity with stronger control
Approve only the elevation that is needed, reduce help desk rework, resolve remote issues without a VPN, and cut tool sprawl and manual tracking.
  • Cloud modernization without disruption
Adopt in phases across hybrid environments, keep policies consistent across on-premises and cloud environments, and leverage reciprocity with FedRAMP® and other state programs to reuse due diligence.

The Texas Risk and Authorization Management Program (TX-RAMP) is a Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR) initiative that evaluates the security measures implemented by cloud products and services that transmit data to Texas state agencies.

What is the Benefit of TX-RAMP?

The main objective of TX-RAMP is to simplify the cloud adoption process and bolster the security of our identity security solutions for Texas state agencies. This is accomplished by removing the redundancy of security assessments and ensuring that organizations purchase from authorized, secure vendors.

Furthermore, as of January 1, 2022, the Texas Government Code 2054.0593 requires agencies to contract only with vendors compliant with TX-RAMP.
