Budget pressure, unrelenting and unforgiving deadlines, a globally distributed team, daily cybersecurity threats…it’s a list that will make even the most confident of executives break into a cold sweat, but these demands are just a typical Monday for a CISO.

So... why become a CISO, you ask? A few reasons: the job is rewarding and the opposite of boring. In fact, according to KPMG and Harvey Nash, more than 78% of CISOs find their jobs to be very or quite fulfilling.

So, you’re interested in growing, being mentored, and honing your skills to help take you into the CISO role, but where do you start?

In our February LinkedIn Live Virtual Event, we were joined by guest speaker, multi-award-winning cybersecurity executive, keynote speaker and bestselling author, Phil Zongo. He was also accompanied by CTO & CISO at BeyondTrust, Morey Haber. Our speakers laid bare some of their own hard-earned career lessons, discuss fundamental CISO mentorship strategies, and share practical guidance on how to grow into the CISO role.
