New OPSWAT Certifications for BeyondTrust!

July 23, 2013

OPSWAT certified partnerI know most of you out there think marketing is blinky pens, trade shows, and people who for the most part don’t know the first thing about the products they represent. I’d like to put those stereotypes to bed right now, as here at BeyondTrust we have NEVER had blinky pens…..we have flashing balls ;-). In all seriousness, as someone who works in product marketing, I get to work on a wide variety of projects including go-to-market strategy, public relations, demo’s, the list goes on. Basically I get to represent all of the great activities done by the engineers and product managers; some receive bigger announcements, like our recent integrated platform launch and some activities slide under the radar. So I just wanted to take a minute to call out something that might have gone under the radar. SilverBeyondTrust, recently received silver certification (up from bronze) for several of our products from OPSWAT. What this means is that “we have a strong compatibility with leading technology solutions; our products are able to be detected, and some assessment and remediation actions are supported.” In simple terms it means we play nicely, now more nicely with other technology vendors across several aspects of the OPSWAT security platform. Below are the BeyondTrust products that have received higher certifications:
  • PowerBroker Endpoint Protection for Desktops 7.x – Silver Antivirus Client
  • PowerBroker Endpoint Protection for Desktops 7.x – Silver Firewall Client
  • PowerBroker Endpoint Protection for Servers 7.x – Silver Antivirus Client
  • PowerBroker Endpoint Protection for Servers 7.x – Silver Firewall Client
SilverMaybe you have heard of OPSWAT, maybe not – and while it might not seem like a big deal, to me it’s one of those things that gives me confidence in what we are doing at BeyondTrust. I know Rome wasn’t built in a day, but we are constantly making positive strides forward, evolving our product set to meet the needs of our customers and ensuring that we play nice across the security ecosystem. This is one of the hundreds of things we do every day to try and get a bit better and that’s all any of us can really do.
