BeyondTrust Network and Host Security Scanner, powered by Retina, is the most sophisticated vulnerability assessment solution on the market. Available as a standalone application or as part of the BeyondTrust Enterprise Vulnerability Management solution, our Network and Host Security Scanner enables you to efficiently identify IT exposures and prioritize remediation enterprise-wide.

BeyondTrust addresses every phase of the vulnerability management lifecycle – from assessment to remediation – eliminating the need for multiple, sometimes overlapping, solutions to address vulnerability management risks. BeyondTrust Enterprise Vulnerability Management solution includes BeyondInsight IT Risk Management platform for unified reporting, analytics, policy and management across the environment.

Here’s a brief round-up of what’s new with the release of version 6.6.0:

Docker Container Scanning Improves Visibility

Docker Container instances that are discovered on Windows targets can be optionally enumerated and scanned for:

  • Running Processes
  • Services and their status (running, stopped, etc.)

This complements the existing Docker Image vulnerability scanning feature introduced in version 6.5.0 and adds additional context about the running Container associated with the scanned Images.

Removed audit dependencies from associated enumeration job options

You can now disable enumerations that are not of interest without impacting vulnerability assessment results.

Additional OS Support

BeyondTrust Network and Host Security Scanner can now be installed on Windows Server 2019.

Additional CIS Benchmark Certification

Support and certification of the following SCAP benchmarks released by the Center for Internet Security (CIS):

  • CIS Microsoft IIS7
  • CIS Microsoft IIS8
  • CIS Microsoft IIS10
  • CIS Microsoft Windows 10 Enterprise Release 1709
  • CIS Microsoft SQL Server 2016
  • CIS Ubuntu Linux 18.04 LTS

New Brand

Retina Network and Host Security Scanner are now BeyondTrust Network and Host Security Scanner! We are excited to share a new brand identity that aims to make Network and Host Security Scanner more accessible to our users. In this release, you will have a first look at the new brand elements.

These new features improve upon what’s already possible with BeyondTrust’s Vulnerability Management, enabling you to reduce risk and achieve compliance requirements with vulnerability management and risk analysis in context.
