Growth Driven by Product Enhancements, Global Customer Wins and Strategic Alliances.
Avecto, the market leader in Windows privilege management software, today reported significant gains for the first half of its 2013 fiscal year. The company saw a 64 per cent increase in revenue over the same time period last year, and nearly doubled its staff to support this rapid growth. With this momentum, Avecto is poised to exceed its revenue objectives through additional product developments and partnerships this year.
Privilege Guard 3.6 was released in the first half of the fiscal year, which included a number of novel features to cement Avecto's leadership position. Enhancements included privileged account management, software download tracking, challenge/response controls and support for Windows 8 store apps. The Enterprise Reporting Pack was also given a major revamp, with a stylish new look and extensive dashboards and reports.
Increasing Global Footprint
Avecto's commitment to forming deep and meaningful strategic alliances has ensured that it has continued to strengthen its technology and channel partners. In particular, integration with McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) has enabled McAfee's customers to deploy and manage Privilege Guard by leveraging their existing investment in ePO, which is widely regarded as the most advanced and scalable security management software in the industry.
Furthermore, Avecto has secured a number of high-profile global customer wins, validating its leadership position in the market, including an agreement for 375,000 licences at one of the world's leading technology companies. Many more customers acquired this fiscal year have in in excess of 100,000 desktops and have opted to install Privilege Guard across the whole enterprise. With the acquisition of these new customers, Avecto has increased penetration into key industry markets including finance and banking, defense, utilities, healthcare and education.
To support its continued growth, the company has recently moved into its new UK headquarters on the prestigious Cheadle Royal Business Park and a larger DACH regional office in Munich.
Industry Recognition
Along with significant customer and partner growth, Avecto has received a number of accolades from leading industry organizations, highlighting its position as an innovator in the space. The Sunday Times Tech Track 100 acknowledged Avecto as "One to Recognise" for its continued growth in the privilege management sector, while Red Herring chose the company among its 2012 Top Europe 100 Winners and the Global Excellence Awards listed Avecto as Innovative Security Company of the year.
