Cybersecurity has entered a new era. One where perception can be manipulated, identities can be convincingly faked, and the truth can be engineered. The rise of adversarial AI and deepfakes has introduced a dangerous evolution in the threat landscape, making it harder than ever to distinguish reality from synthetic deception. These tools are no longer science fiction; they’re actively used by cybercriminals to bypass traditional defenses, exploit human trust, and launch highly convincing social engineering campaigns.

In this session, BeyondTrust’s Chief Security Advisor, Morey Haber, delved into how deepfakes and adversarial AI are weaponized to spoof identities, manipulate behavior, and exploit biometric and behavioral authentication. From synthetic video calls and voice phishing to compromised biometrics and AI chatbots, this session exposed the real-world tactics adversaries now deploy. The traditional cybersecurity perimeter has dissolved, and now even perception can no longer be trusted. Attendees gained a clear understanding of adversarial AI and deepfakes through real-world examples. They learned about common attack vectors and the techniques driving these AI threats and receive actionable strategies to strengthen their defenses against this new breed of deception.
