BeyondTrust University (BTU) Certification is granted upon successful completion of the required Instructor-Led Training (ILT) course and a passing score of 75% or higher on the certification exam.

All exams are completed online through the BTU portal, and results are provided immediately after you submit your answers. You’ll receive an email as well to download your certification.

The certification exams are delivered online through the BTU portal and include 40 questions per attempt, randomly selected from rotating question pools to ensure a unique experience each time. All exam topics are covered in the Administration course. Although the exam is open note, it must be completed independently without assistance.

We do not currently offer dedicated practice exams. However, many of our eLearning courses include knowledge checks that mirror the style of questions on the certification exam. Since the exam is open book, we encourage you to utilize all available training materials, notes, and resources to support your success.

While self-paced eLearning and labs are not required, they are highly recommended to support your learning and exam readiness.

Learners are allowed two attempts to pass the exam. If both attempts are unsuccessful, new training will need to be purchased for additional exam attempts.

BeyondTrust University issues verified digital credentials through Credly. Simply log in to your Credly account and choose from the available sharing options. Sign in to your preferred social platform, grant permissions, add a message if desired, and share!

CPE credit information is provided within each course description and will be added to your activity records (available for download in the BTU portal) upon course completion.

Certifications are valid for 2 years. You can check your status and renewal dates in your activity records within the BTU portal.

To renew your certification, you must purchase new training and successfully complete the certification exam again.
