We are delighted to announce that BeyondTrust achieved first place for the 2019 ASTORS Platinum Award for Privileged Access Security. This comes as we look to close out a huge year in our story, and continue to drive innovation and build on our technology leadership in the privileged access management space.
As called out by American Security Today in bestowing the award: “BeyondTrust’s unified solutions offer the industry’s broadest set of privileged access management capabilities with a flexible design that simplifies integrations, enhances user productivity, and maximizes IT and security investments.”
What Are the ASTORS Awards?
The ‘ASTORS’ Award program is an annual competition run by American Security Today, which focuses on new and evolving homeland security threats. ASTORS is the largest and most prestigious U.S. Homeland Security awards program in the industry, and serves to acknowledge and reward the most cutting-edge security solutions on the market today. More specifically, it’s intended to honor distinguished government and vendor solutions that help keep The United State of America secure by delivering enhanced value, benefits, and security intelligence to end users across a variety of homeland security, enterprise, and public safety markets.
This year’s ASTORS featured a compelling keynote address by William (Bill) Bratton, former police commissioner of the NYPD, the BPD, and former chief of the LAPD, on the history of policing in America and the evolution of critical communication capabilities in the post 9/11 landscape.
"BeyondTrust’s unified solutions offer the industry’s broadest set of privileged access management capabilities with a flexible design that simplifies integrations, enhances user productivity, and maximizes IT and security investments."
Thousands of government, security industry, and public safety professionals convened in New York City to meet with experts from over 350 industry-leading innovators and technical reps, at the Northeast’s largest physical and IT security trade show to check out the latest in security technologies.
Why BeyondTrust Won Platinum
ASTORS nominations are evaluated on their ‘technical innovation, interoperability, specific impact within the category, overall impact to the industry, relatability to other industry technologies, and application feasibility outside of the industry, according to Tammy Waitt, co-founder and editorial director of American Security Today.
Morey Haber, Chief Technology Officer & Chief Information Security Officer of BeyondTrust said that, “this win highlights our cutting-edge privileged access management security solutions, and we are proud to showcase our innovative developments controlling, monitoring, and auditing privileged access in American Security Today’s 2019 ‘ASTORS’ Awards Program”. Continued Haber, “We are dedicated to our customers and partners in the public sector, and will continue to offer our best-of breed technology and expertise--ultimately reducing the threat surface and improving overall security posture for federal agencies, as well as enterprises around the globe.”
Our Vice President of Public Sector, Craig McCullough, points out that “as the world of IT is changing and evolving exponentially, it is critical to understand how to secure the explosion of privileges within your environment. BeyondTrust’s unified solutions offer the industry’s broadest set of privileged access management capabilities.
