This year, as part of our Diversity and Inclusion program, we launched Summer of Pride, celebrating that all voices are valued and included at BeyondTrust.
Throughout Summer of Pride, we featured different employees, who were willing to share their own personal stories or their support for the LGBTQ+ community. For our Quarterly Diversity & Inclusion Speaker Series, we were joined by TLC Lion Jaqui Gavin Bem, who shared how she overcame struggles during her journey of transitioning. We also hosted fun events like Drag Bingo with Devin Darlin’, a Tie Dye Party, and virtual workout, with participation from BeyondTrust employees across the globe.
Summer of Pride culminated with our 2nd Annual BeyondDiversity internal summit for employees. We kicked off the summit with one of our employees sharing their own story of what it has been like to navigate life being part of the LGBTQ+ community. Then we were joined by various employees across the business, in different roles, functions, and locations for a panel discussion on “How to be an Ally”. After hearing our employees’ thoughts and perspectives, we hosted departmental sessions and heard from our UX, Talent Acquisition and Marketing departments about their commitment and support of our overall Diversity and Inclusion initiatives within their teams.

- Our products have undergone accessibility audits by a third-party accessibility consulting firm, Accessibility Partners. (You can read more about BeyondTrust’s commitment to digital accessibility in this blog).
- Engaging with the best, most diverse job seekers by partnering with DiversityJobs
- Promoting inclusion, visibility, and build brand authenticity
To close out BeyondDiversity 2021, we hosted Olympic Silver Medalist, Lyndsey Fry. She shared her love of hockey, barriers she broke, and losses and triumphs she experienced. Lyndsey was the first person, male or female, from Arizona to represent Team USA in ice hockey at the Olympics. Her love of hockey led her to start her own business, Lyndsey Fry Hockey. Lyndsey is a proud lesbian woman and she and her wife Emily are actively working to support programs that elevate LGBTQ+ people, particularly through sports.
Our goal for Summer of Pride, BeyondDiversity, and other Diversity and Inclusion initiatives, is ultimately to educate, inspire, and cultivate an environment where all our employees feel like they are valued and belong.
We aspire to continue to involve more BeyondTrust voices from across the world. In the near-term, we will be launching our own employee resource groups to provide support and programming for our team members.

Nancy Compean, Manager, Marketing Programs
As the Manager, Marketing Programs at BeyondTrust, Nancy supports BeyondTrust’s highly effective world-wide webinar program to continue advancing its success. At the beginning of 2021, Nancy has launched digitals events to help bring people together, give them an opportunity to network, and help create a path toward a more inclusive and diversified industry. Nancy’s passion, creativity and understanding comes after helping lead the launch BeyondTrust’s Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) initiatives in 2019.
