Avecto, the leader in Windows Privilege Management today announced further record breaking results from their 2011 financial year end.

Paul Kenyon, COO comments: "Yet again the Company has experienced huge growth over the last 12 months and revenue from the North American market alone, now represents over 40% of our turnover during this period. Year on year we are doubling the size of our business with sales figures up over 350% at our financial year end in June 2011."

In early May 2011, Avecto acquired substantially larger business premises in Andover, MA. Within 2 months the company had quadrupled their North American regional sales teams, and plans are in place to continue growing at an even faster pace as the year progresses.

Avecto's Privilege Guard was recently chosen by one of the world's largest, and most respected, financial institutions, to help bolster IT security and effectively manage user privileges. The institute are now implementing the solution across their entire estate of 400,000 desktops worldwide.

"Additionally, over the last six months, we have further strengthened our product development team, increased the number of channel partners across the globe, and expanded key strategic partnerships throughout the industry. In short, we are building an increasingly solid foundation for further business growth." adds Kenyon

Avecto's Privilege Guard enables organizations to strike a balance between providing users with a degree of control over their desktop configuration, and protecting the standard desktop build. Instead of giving admin rights to users, Privilege Guard enables IT administrators to assign elevated rights to individual applications and tasks.

Between now and the end of their next financial year Avecto is scheduled to attend a wide range of industry events including Focus 11 - the fourth annual McAfee security conference, Microsoft Management Summit, InfoSec Europe and TechEd.

Update: Privilege Guard is now Defendpoint

Privilege Guard has now evolved into the new security suite, Defendpoint, which encompasses Privilege Management, Application Control and Sandboxing. For more information, please visit www.avecto.com/defendpoint.
