Atlanta, GA – June 3, 2021 – BeyondTrust, the worldwide technology leader in Privileged Access Management (PAM), today announced it has successfully completed the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 27701 certification. The achievement of this security milestone includes BeyondTrust’s entire product portfolio for both on-premises and cloud products. Just seven months after achieving ISO 27001 certification, this additional certification demonstrates BeyondTrust’s ongoing commitment to ensure customer data is safe from the most sophisticated methods of intrusion.
The detailed validation process verifies the effectiveness of BeyondTrust’s internal security operations, secure software development practices, and product capabilities. ISO 27701 specifies requirements and provides guidance for establishing, implementing, maintaining and continually improving a Privacy Information Management System (PIMS) in the form of an extension to ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO/IEC 27002 for privacy management within the context of the organization. This thorough audit was conducted by Aprio, a nationally recognized, top 100 CPA-led business advisory firm.
“After thorough review, BeyondTrust’s on-premises and cloud products fulfill the standards set forth in ISO 27701 regarding protecting customer data,” said Dan Schroeder, Partner-in-Charge of Information Assurance Services at Aprio. “These reporting standards are industry best practice risk management guidelines for security, privacy, and other operational controls for SaaS and other technology service providers.”
“Our customers now have certified third-party attestation that the design, implementation, and operation of BeyondTrust’s Privacy controls meet or exceed the criteria set by the ISO 27701," said Abdul Badruddin, Senior Director of Governance, Risk and Compliance. “Earning the ISO 27701 certification reflects our ongoing commitment to the security and privacy of our customers in this era of increasing cyber-attacks, particularly with the dramatically increasing remote workforce.”
By uniting the broadest set of privileged security capabilities, BeyondTrust’s Universal Privilege Management approach simplifies deployments, reduces costs, improves usability, and reduces privilege risks.
