As Regional Vice President, John is responsible for leading sales teams across The Middle East, Turkey, and Africa. He’s focused on developing a clear vision of success with BeyondTrust’s culture at the heart of the team.

Hathaway joined the company in 2015 to establish a branch of BeyondTrust in the region. After growing the base of enterprise customers, the branch has now developed into a significant EMEA contributor with a team of over 40 people, in a range of roles. BeyondTrust have become the leading privileged identity solutions provided in the region, by a long distance.

Hathaway has over 20 years enterprise software sales experience, previously heading up security sales for Arrow ECS from their Middle East office. Previously he’s held several enterprise hospitality software sales roles in the Middle East and United Kingdom for Agilisys and Oracle (Micros) . He recently completed The Power MBA and holds a business degree from The University of Coventry.

I have been working in a variety of product management roles since 2006 across diverse industries. I firmly believe in putting the customer at the heart of what I do, and that delivering quality solutions and products is based on a deep understanding of your customers’ world. As a senior product manager, I care about the experience we deliver to our customers, not just the technology or functionality wrapped into a product. I always enjoy discussing issues and challenges with customers to get a clear picture of what we need to solve today, tomorrow, and into the future.

Tal Guest is a VP of Product Management with over 20 years of industry experience. He leads a group of product managers, responsible for expanding privileged access management core capabilities in the areas of remote access and the service desk. Tal also helps establish long-term business strategies based on current/future market conditions and problems faced in the privileged access management area of cybersecurity.

Christopher L. Hills has more than 20 years’ experience in Identity Security as a Technical Director, Senior Solutions Architect, and Security Engineer operating in highly sensitive environments. Chris is a military veteran of the United States Navy and started with BeyondTrust after his most recent role leading a Privileged Access Management (PAM) team as a Technical Director within a Fortune 500 organization. In his current position, he has responsibilities as a global Chief Security Strategist working with Customers, Marketing, Executives, Thought Leadership, Market Trends, and Corporate Influencer. Chris has held the title of Sr. Solution’s Architect, Deputy CTO, and Deputy CISO roles since starting with BeyondTrust. Chris is also co-author in the Cloud Attack Vectors book, a contributor in the New Privileged Attack Vectors book, and editor in previous books. Chris has been featured and writes for CXO, Dark Reading, and Computer Weekly to name a few. In his free time, Chris enjoys spending time with his family on the water boating, supporting his son’s college football career, going to the sand dunes offroading.

Michael Byrnes is the Director, Solutions Engineer iMEA for BeyondTrust. He has acquired a wealth of cyber security experience in a number of engagements over the last 10 years with a diverse set of IT companies across the Middle East. Thanks to his various roles as a security consultant, a systems engineer or within pre-sales, he gained extensive expertise in network and information security, architecture design and virtualization. Within his current position at BeyondTrust, Michael manages the solution engineers’ team in the Middle East, India and Africa. With his group, he engages and advises partners, customers and prospects in their Privileged Access Management (PAM) strategy to secure and manage their entire universe of privileges.

Hamed Shahbar is the Director of Cybersecurity Management at Red Sea Global.

With over 15 years of experience in the field of IT and cybersecurity, Hamed Shahbar has dedicated a significant portion of their career to enhancing the security and technological frameworks within various organizations.

Layale Hachem is a Senior Solutions Engineer at BeyondTrust. Prior to joining the company, she spent four years working at a cybersecurity-focused distributor in the Middle East in various roles, including Systems Engineer, Product Specialist, and Solutions Engineer Team Leader. Throughout her professional experience, both past and present, she has developed a comprehensive understanding of the fields of IAM and data protection. Her areas of expertise include Endpoint Privilege Management, Privileged Access Management, Network Security, and Endpoint Detection and Response. Currently, in her role at BeyondTrust, she supports organizations in the Middle East by identifying their business and technical requirements and ensuring they optimize their Privileged Access Management (PAM) strategy to secure and manage their entire universe of privileges.

Damien Brown is a distinguished IT leader with over 20 years of experience, currently operating as the EMEA Vice President of Solutions Engineering at BeyondTrust. He has a proven track record of developing robust pre-sales teams focused on delivering cutting-edge identity management and access control solutions that enhance security and ensure compliance across global platforms. Through his leadership at BeyondTrust, Damien has driven strategic initiatives that safeguard critical infrastructure and data, leveraging his deep expertise in cloud computing and infrastructure technologies. His ability to orchestrate high-performing teams and implement strategic analysis has positioned him as a key influencer in the field, continually advancing organisational capabilities in complex IT environments.
