Bomgar Remote Support is now BeyondTrust Remote Support! Although the BeyondTrust name may be new to some Bomgar Remote Support customers, rest assured that we will continue to deliver the same high-quality Remote Support product, services, and experience they have come to expect. In this release, our Remote Support customers will have a first look at some of the design considerations that went into evolving the experience of our user. You will also see the incorporation of the new BeyondTrust brand elements.
BeyondTrust Remote Support enables help desk teams to rapidly and securely access and troubleshoot any remote device, across any platform, located anywhere in the world—all via a single solution.
Here’s a brief round-up of what’s new with the release of version 19.1:
Privacy Screen for Windows 10
You can now enable a privacy screen so that a nearby user or passersby cannot see what is on your screen. Privacy screen support during a Remote Support session has been extended to Windows 10.
More Deployment Options
The BeyondTrust Remote Support appliance is now available in Amazon Web Services. Whether you are initially deploying your BeyondTrust appliance or have an initiative to move your on-premise appliance to AWS, our new AWS deployment options provide you with more flexibility to deploy as you choose.
iOS Screen Sharing
It is now easier than ever to start iOS screen sharing sessions with your end users. A new streamlined workflow is available for screen sharing using the updated iOS Customer Client for iOS 12.
Mobile Device Management MDM Support for iOS Customer Client
The iOS Customer Client has been improved for deployment through Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions, such as Microsoft Intune. The BeyondTrust site URL can be pre-configured when deployed through a MDM. Your users no longer need to type the URL when support is needed. In addition, the BeyondTrust site URL can be set as read-only so that your users can only connect to your appliance.
Credential Selection
Users with the Credential Injection feature enabled will now display the most likely credential needed for credential injection, based on usage history and account permissions from the Representative Console. Selected credentials will appear at the top of the credential drop down list, enabling users to get into sessions and elevate permissions faster.
These new features broaden what’s already possible with BeyondTrust Remote Support, helping you empower, protect, and scale your service desk.
