Last fall, I had the privilege of spending a day at the offices of Bomgar customer Pink Elephant, a Managed Services Provider (MSP) headquartered in Amsterdam. I got to hear first-hand how Bomgar is being used every day to not only increase the security of the remote access used to connect to the networks of their customers, but also how their IT support teams can be more productive without sacrificing security.
While the features of Bomgar’s Privileged Access and Vault solutions are important, my time with Pink Elephant reminded me that that the user experience is just as paramount. A software product needs to do more than just “check the box” when it comes to a list of features – it has to make people more productive if it’s going to really be embraced. We like to call it “usable security.”
Specializing in the healthcare and logistics industries, the support teams at Pink Elephant needed security to come standard with their privileged access solutions, in order to ensure that the sensitive data of their customers was not at risk. Before using Bomgar, the Pink Elephant support engineers had to:
- Manually manage privileged accounts
- Manually change passwords to privilege accounts (for all customers) on a frequent basis
Now using Bomgar, Pink Elephant support engineers can access the systems they need to, when they need to. Check out the Pink Elephant video case study to hear more about how this MSP uses Bomgar to serve their customers securely and efficiently!
