Business-savvy Greater Manchester students trade at the Manchester Christmas Markets in Piccadilly gardens.
Budding entrepreneurs who have set up their own businesses will sell their products to Manchester's Christmas shoppers in their first organized selling event sponsored by Avecto.
Students from more than 30 Greater Manchester schools, colleges and education centres will be vying to sell their products to keen shoppers on 9th December 2015. Trading will start at 11am and the teams will be selling their stock in order to generate income to develop their businesses further. More importantly to provide Manchester's public with some hand made gifts, cards and other useful present ideas for every occasion.
The young people have set up and started to run their own companies with the help of business mentors as part of the Young Enterprise Company Programme that inspires Greater Manchester's next generation of entrepreneurs.
The students will develop eight key employability skills along their journey that will enable them in future careers. These skills being communication, organization, team work, problem solving, financial capability, resilience, problem solving and initiative.
