Avecto Ltd, the leader in Windows privilege management, today announced rapid momentum for its European Channel initiatives. In just five months since announcing the launch of Avecto's Channel program, the company has swiftly capitalized on the demand for Windows least privilege management solutions in the region by signing key European distributors servicing 28 countries throughout Western and Eastern Europe. During the later part of 2010, Avecto plans to add 15 additional channel partnerships with value-added resellers and system integrators to offer Avecto Privilege Guard to enterprises in these key European countries, whilst also continuing to expand into AsiaPac.
The newest members of the Avecto Channel program include:
- TD Azlan - the leading value added distributor of Enterprise technology solutions in Europe will provide Avecto's solutions to the Benelux region. TD Azlan delivers solutions for optimal Application Availability that ensures information is available "anytime, anyplace, anywhere" in a manageable, efficient and secure way.
- headtechnology - a leading value added distributor in Germany and Eastern Europe, specializing in IT-security and offering a broad range of best of breed technology products. The organization's solution portfolio offers stability, application acceleration and enhancement, consolidated in "absolute security."
- Inuit AB - one of the foremost value added distributors in Sweden and Iceland, specializing in corporate IT security and system management. Inuit offers "simple and smart" solutions for least privilege management, e-mail, Web, endpoint, helpdesk and network management to solve critical business problems for its clients.
"Adding Avecto's Privilege Guard to our portfolio enables us to deliver a best-in-class security solution to our customers," said Thorir Eggertsson, CEO of Inuit. "By providing customers with the ability to remove admin rights from their users, we are empowering them to reduce total cost of ownership of their Windows systems while improving operational efficiency."
Avecto Privilege Guard is the industry's most comprehensive solution for enabling the security principle of least privilege in Windows environments. Privilege Guard eliminates the need to assign admin rights to users and allows enterprises to dynamically assign these rights to applications, tasks and scripts. Privilege Guard enables users to log on to Windows desktops and servers with minimal rights while empowering them to perform their day-to-day role, leading to increased security, simplified compliance with industry regulations and reduced support costs.
"Organizations are facing ever-increasing demands for compliance with regulations that require the implementation of least privilege. They need to create strong, effective and secure environments in which they can process business critical data," said Harry Zorn, CEO of headtechnology. "Privilege Guard from Avecto enables customers to create secure, auditable and compliant Windows environments to more effectively meet these security and compliance demands."
"Improving desktop management is a big issue for many of our customers, particularly as they migrate to Windows 7, said Imre Hüsen, Division Manager Virtualization of TD Azlan. "The added security, efficiency and desktop standardization that Privilege Guard automatically builds into Windows migration initiatives dramatically simplifies this process for our clients."
"We are very proud to announce our rapid European channel expansion with the addition of Inuit, Headtechnology and TD Azlan as our newest partners," said Carina Rozendaal, director of European channels for Avecto. "Their experience, integrity and enthusiasm make them the perfect value added distributors to introduce Privilege Guard into Europe and give our growing number of enterprise customers the quality of support they need. We look forward to a long and prosperous partnership with these organizations as we work together to simplify least privilege management for enterprises throughout Europe".
