Ernst & Young (EY) LLP recently announced the finalists for the Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2020 Award, and I am thrilled to share that Matt Dircks, BeyondTrust CEO, was selected by a panel of independent judges as one of 30 finalists from a competitive pool of nominations in the Southeast region. Now in its 34th year, the Entrepreneur Of The Year program honors entrepreneurial business leaders whose ambitions deliver innovation, growth, and prosperity as they build and sustain successful businesses.
Entrepreneur of The Year is one of the preeminent competitive award programs for leaders of high-growth companies. In 2014, Matt became CEO of the company, called Bomgar at the time, and led the organization as it shifted from founder-led to a private equity-owned and managed organization with global growth ambitions. Subsequently, Matt drove the expansion of the company through aggressive M&A activity; Bomgar acquired three companies in 2018, shifting the name and brand identity to BeyondTrust, to further solidify its market leadership in the Privileged Access Management (PAM) market.
While Matt’s leadership throughout a period of tremendous change included staying focused on revenue growth and financial objectives, it is Matt’s unwavering commitment to the people of BeyondTrust that really sets him apart. Every day, I see how Matt puts his trust in our people, how much he truly cares about them, and prioritizes their needs.
“While being named a finalist is an honor, none of this would be possible without the hard work and contributions of the entire company.” says Dircks. “Building a company for long-term sustainable growth can only be achieved by creating an environment of empowerment and respect for all employees, regardless of role, tenure, or seniority.”
Award winners will be announced through a special virtual event in early October and will join a lifelong community of esteemed Entrepreneur Of The Year alumni from around the world.
