New Features and Enhancements:

  • Introducing auto update powered by PM Cloud Package Manager to automatically update Endpoint Privilege Management for Windows clients and PM Windows Adapter software versions on the Windows endpoints in your estate.

PM Cloud

New Features and Enhancements:

Policy Editor

  • Added drilldown links to improve accessibilty between a rule and its target groups.
    • On the Windows On-Demand Application Rules page, the Target Application Group is now a linked URL.
    • On the Content Rules page, the Target Content Group is now a linked URL.
  • The policy XML file size has been increased to 20MB. Customers with larger XML files can now leverage the import policy feature.
  • You can now copy Windows or macOS application definitions. Select one or more definitions at a time. Copying definitions will save time when you want to reuse the same application definition between policies.
  • Breadcrumbs were added to improve signposting to enhance the Policy Editor navigation experience. Adding visual cues will make it easier to see where you are in the Policy Editor. Click the breadcrumb URL to return to your starting point.

PM Cloud

  • In Analytics v2, on the Application Details page, added two user activity cards to provide more context to the Actions line graph and provide insight to the users of an application.
    • Users Affected tile shows the users running an application.
    • Reasons Provided tile lists the reasons provided by the users.
  • In Analytics v2, enhanced CSV export functionality to now support downloads of up to 5 million events from the Events grid. You can select the number of records to include in the export file and add a file name. A notification indicates when the file is ready to download.
  • Increased the rate limit on requests and page sizes to improve the performance of the Computers and Policies APIs.
  • Hid the Changes tab for audit types that have no change data to show. Displaying the Changes tab for activity audits when there was no data was misleading.
  • Added clarity to the toast notification for unlicenced events shown in the Events grid to read Details unavailable: Computer requires a licensed Policy for event details. Previously, the toast notification did not clearly indicate that a licensed policy was required to display events.

Issues Resolved:

Policy Editor

  • Resolved an issue in Messages that now surfaces validation errors that were hidden. Now, when clicking Preview or Save, validation errors are highlighted and you can add or fix message properties before proceeding.
  • Resolved an issue where adding Local or Domain AD accounts with a backslash (\) in the account name failed and displayed an incorrect error Account already exists.

Endpoint Privilege Management Cloud

  • In Analytics v2, resolved an issue with special characters (such as a comma) causing errors in the CSV formatting. This occurred on the Applications tab and the Users tab. Data now displays correctly in the CSV output.
  • Resolved an issue with the Computers CSV download. Renamed Computer ID to ID. The CSV download can now be used to assign computers to a group when using the PM Cloud Management API.

  • Updated the BeyondTrust PM Cloud Adapter service display name to BeyondTrust Privilege Management Cloud Adapter.

Do not install a new adapter version before you are running a version of Endpoint Privilege Management Cloud that supports it. Installing an unsupported adapter can result in endpoints that no longer connect. You will be notified before your instance of Endpoint Privilege Management Cloud is upgraded.
