Privilege Management for Mac 22.1 Release Notes

New Features and Enhancements:

  • Standard users can now launch the Console application using Privilege Management through the Finder context menu to view logs.
  • Added additional fields to audit events to more reliably connect an audit to the matching policy rule.
  • Updated the mac PMC Adapter to complete authentication via Oauth methods rather than the traditional mTLS.
  • Made improvements to how Privilege Management for Mac is installed so that MDM solutions like Munki install Privilege Management for Mac without errors.

Issues Resolved:

  • Resolved issue in which using Multifactor authentication messages it was possible to have multiple messages dialogs appear when only one was intended.
  • PMC portal now shows OS description as Monterey when a Monterey endpoint is connected.
  • Resolved issue in which Privilege Management for Mac could remove JamfConnect mechanisms from the authorization database, causing the JamfConnect login screen not to appear.
  • Resolved issue for matching on publisher in the policy for packages such as beta OS builds.
