Almost 72 percent of UK financial service firms are unsure whether they had suffered a breach due to third-party access, and 69% said that they had possibly or definitely suffered an insider-related breach in 2017, according to a report by identity and access management solutions provider Bomgar.

The report, 2018 Privileged Access Threat Report, said that open banking has taken a bank’s sensitive data outside its internal network and financial institutions (FIs) are now required to make their customers’ information available through a host of third-party providers. Read more.
