Atlanta, GA – March 12, 2021 – BeyondTrust, the worldwide technology leader in Privileged Access Management, today announced the recognition of BeyondTrust Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) Mark Rankin with a GetFive 2021 “HR Hero Award.” The HR Hero Award celebrates HR professionals who have made outsized contributions to their organizations and the community at large, and Mark was recognized in the “Elevating the Strategic Role of HR” category.

The corporate culture and employee experience are also a significant focus for BeyondTrust. While Mark prioritizes the importance of employee engagement at BeyondTrust, he believes it needs to be facilitated by HR but driven by employees. He has enabled the development of the global Culture Committee program as a cross-functional, employee-owned effort, with support and facilitation by the HR team, and sponsorship from himself and the CEO, as well as all members of the Executive Leadership Team and leaders across the business. Additionally, BeyondTrust expanded the Diversity & Inclusion Program in 2020, which included the first annual BeyondDiversity internal summit and the launch of the “Lived Experience” employee speaker series.

As a leader in the cybersecurity industry, BeyondTrust is accustomed to a fast pace and regularly adapting to meet new challenges. But 2020 demanded that the company evolve in new ways. From the early days of the pandemic, BeyondTrust has remained committed to providing a supportive, flexible, and safe working environment for more than 1,000 employees globally.

Mark and his team were responsible for BeyondTrust’s internal crisis management response to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. “With a steady hand, Mark guided the Executive Leadership Team by providing recommendations on employees working from home and facilities management,” says Matt Dircks, CEO at BeyondTrust. “Mark remained calm in the face of uncertainty and extended that feeling of calm to all employees. Because of this approach, the company was able to transition to nearly 100 percent remote work virtually overnight with almost no disruption in day-to-day operations. This enabled our workforce to continue serving customers who needed access to our business-critical remote working solutions to bring their own distributed workforces online quickly”.

The company tracks this metric using eNPS (Employee Net Promoter Score), captured quarterly using an anonymous survey.
