Password Safe (PS) Smart Rules are used to create Smart Groups allowing you to add Assets, Systems & Accounts into PS management. The Smart Rule filters you configure for the Smart Groups, determine the accounts that are added as Managed Accounts in Password Safe. Account based Smart Rules are 1 of 3 types along with Asset and Managed System based. We will onboard discovered accounts from previously scanned systems and accounts from a Directory by using a directory query nested within the Smart Rule.

Introducing Secrets Safe
BeyondTrust has introduced Secrets Safe, a new feature within Password Safe, providing customers with a comprehensive secrets management solution at no additional cost. This feature streamlines credential vaulting for cloud applications and automated processes within CI/CD tools, allowing organizations to leverage Secrets Safe for their DevOps use cases, thus promoting DevOps secrets security with a single tool. The previous DevOps Secrets Safe and Team Passwords offerings have been merged and transitioned into the new Secrets Safe capability throughout 2023.
Targeting cloud-based development environments, Secrets Safe enables secure and auditable management of files such as certificates, API keys, and tokens. It extends traditional Privileged Access Management (PAM) usage to teams working on cloud applications, improving the overall security posture of an enterprise. A core benefit of Secrets Safe is its ability to seamlessly integrate with CI/CD tools and pipelines while being consolidated within Password Safe, eliminating the need for multiple tools or additional costs.
