The Role

As the Senior Director of Product Marketing at BeyondTrust, you will have the unique opportunity to lead the charge in a vital cybersecurity field – identity-first security. Your role will encompass driving the team responsible for the GTM success of our products and platform.

You will partner with BeyondTrust product management at the senior leadership level. Your focus will be on simplifying complex concepts and highlighting the essence and value of our products to a diverse range of stakeholders.

What You’ll Do

  • Team Leadership and Development:
    Lead and nurture a high-performing product marketing team. Empower team members through coaching, professional development, and accountability. Ensure alignment with BeyondTrust culture and values

  • Market Analysis and Customer Insights:
    Conduct market analysis to understand customer needs and trends. Use customer feedback and research to guide product development and marketing strategies. Develop strategies for revenue growth and product positioning, fostering innovation in response to market dynamics.

  • Go-to-Market Strategy Execution:
    Oversee the product marketing managers in the creation and execution of innovative go-to-market plans for their product lines, ensuring alignment with all GTM teams. Ensure overall platform positioning, messaging, and launch activities support BT’s larger strategic direction.

  • Product Evangelism:
    Act as an evangelist for BeyondTrust's products. Utilize various channels such as digital media, events, and technical demonstrations to communicate the value proposition of our products effectively. Own cross-product initiatives that require a player-coach approach, with the ability to drive key marketing programs and activities.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, sales, sales enablement, finance, and executive leadership to align product marketing strategies with company objectives and customer needs.

  • Sales Enablement and Support:
    Partner with our Sales Enablement team to ensure the sales team and partner community is equipped with the necessary tools, materials, and training to effectively sell BeyondTrust products. Analyze sales performance and adjust strategies to optimize sales outcomes.

  • Oversee Analyst Survey Efforts: Contribute to the overall effort to maintain our leadership position with tier-one analysts, including Gartner, Forrester, and KuppingerCole by supporting survey completion and engagements.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Computer Science, Business, or a related field. Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years in product marketing or product management with at least three years in manager roles.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams. Strong focus on building strong partnerships with stakeholder groups, driving urgency, and a growth mindset.
  • Demonstrated ability in strategic planning, market analysis, and go-to-market strategy execution.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Minimum of five years experience working in identity security, IAM, PAM, cloud security, and/or other adjacent cybersecurity segments with the ability to quickly grasp and translate technical capabilities into customer value.  SaaS based vendor experience is strongly desired.
  • Familiarity with commercial marketing or sales in complex high-tech products.
