On February 23rd, BeyondTrust welcomed its new Customer Advisory Board (CAB) to Napa Valley, California. Greeted with a crisp glass of wine at check-in in true Napa form, 10 of our CAB members descended on the Valley from companies around the country, including members of the fortune 100, and industries spanning financial, healthcare, hospitality, and more.
Having been briefed on the agenda and told to come armed with unvarnished feedback and input, the CAB was ready to meet with members of our executive team and engage in discussions around their BeyondTrust customer experience, areas for innovation and improvement, and the challenges we face as industry professionals. Likewise, the BeyondTrust team was ready to hear it!
During a constructive day of dialogue and collaboration, the CAB members and the BeyondTrust team quickly gelled into one fiercely collaborative working team to pinpoint key initiatives for the year. With the valuable input from each of the members, BeyondTrust gained insight into where the customer experience is thriving, and where it needs improvement; what things are affecting our customers negatively that we ought to stop, what we are doing great that we need to continue and enhance; and what areas customers might feel we are overlooking, and require further investments.

“Customers formed valued relationships with one another, made allies with BeyondTrust leaders, and enjoyed an unforgettable experience in beautiful Napa Valley.”
The team also collaborated on top challenges in the IT security space. Some hot topics included how Cloud migrations and deployments change and challenge security in an organization, key security and IAM integrations and where they can improve, and how to simplify and strengthen security for IT environments that seem continuously pulled in the direction of complexity.
The meeting finished with a hands-on innovation brainstorm, where our customer advisors shared their greatest ideas and aspirations for innovations around products, the customer experience, and market opportunities. BeyondTrust absorbed every piece of feedback, constructive criticism, and praise received, and it will be instrumental in shaping the trajectory of BeyondTrust priorities and initiatives this year and beyond.

Of course, the trip to Napa didn’t conclude without some wine country fun! The group redirected their creative energies from BeyondTrust to wine-making. Everyone rolled-up their sleeves to participate in a unique barrel blending experience, where each individual crafted their very own blend, collected the wine from the barrels, and corked the bottle!
This was followed by the viewing of an incredible classic car collection over chardonnay, a tour of some of Napa’s most magnificent wine caves, and capped by a five-course dinner to celebrate the bond and the breakthroughs that had been made during the day before. When all was said and done, customers formed valued relationships with one another, made allies with BeyondTrust leaders, and enjoyed an unforgettable experience in beautiful Napa Valley.
We look forward to meeting with our CAB again soon to discuss progress achieved, and future initiatives!
