BeyondTrust Software has chosen SAIC as the Common
Criteria Testing Laboratory (CCTL) to perform
a security evaluation with the goal of Common
Criteria certification for BeyondTrust's PowerBroker
access management solution for Heterogeneous
UNIX/Linux environments. SAIC is a leading CCTL,
with many of its lab personnel directly involved
in the creation of the Common Criteria, the
first international standard for IT security
evaluation and validation/certification.
The Common Criteria Evaluation and Validation
Scheme (CCEVS), developed by the National Institute
of Standards and Technology (NIST) and the National
Security Agency (NSA), is a broadly accepted
standard communicating competence and trust
to the community of security product users.
BeyondTrust Software and SAIC are leaders in their
respective fields, and the phased process of
achieving Common Criteria certification will
allow for further strengthening of BeyondTrust's
PowerBroker product as well as greater testing
experience for SAIC.
