BeyondTrust Product Version Support Policy
Definitions
BeyondTrust product versions feature new
functionality and have unique two-digit product numbers (e.g.
PowerBroker 6.0, PowerADvantage 1.6). All customers should upgrade
their installations to the latest version.
Product releases, with three-digit product
numbers (e.g. PowerBroker 5.1.2), do not contain significant
new product functionality - they fix problems with the current
version. These are considered maintenance releases.
It is not necessary to upgrade your installation unless you
experience the problem fixed by the release. Releases are frequently
unique to an O/S and fix an O/S-specific issue. Please consult
with
BeyondTrust Technical Support to determine whether a maintenance
upgrade is suitable for your situation.
Support Policy
Maintenance (i.e. bug fixes, security fixes) is provided
for a version up to 27 months after the release of the next
version. The end date of maintenance is listed below as "End
of Maintenance.”
After that date, BeyondTrust will provide technical support
assistance, but no fixes. Very old versions will be supported
to the extent we can. BeyondTrust recommends that customers
plan to migrate to the latest product version before the End
of Maintenance date.
