BeyondTrust™ Appoints Eric Voskuil to Board of Directors
Microsoft Expert and Senior Technologist to Consult on BeyondTrust’s Board
Agoura Hills, Calif. – June 7, 2010 — BeyondTrust, the global leader in privilege delegation and authorization management for virtualization and cloud computing environments, today announced the appointment of Eric Voskuil as a member of its board of directors. In this role, Voskuil will contribute his extensive technical expertise to the board and company. Voskuil, a 20-year technology veteran, is also a three-time Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) and thought leader.

Prior to joining BeyondTrust board of directors, Voskuil served as CTO of BeyondTrust. He co-founded DesktopStandard and designed several successful Group Policy-based enterprise desktop management products. DesktopStandard was acquired by Microsoft in 2006. As a Principal Architect at Microsoft, Voskuil played a key role in integrating DesktopStandard’s PolicyMaker and GPOVault products into Windows. He also served as an architect in Microsoft’s Windows Server Updates Services and Group Policy.
As a Software Architect in Microsoft's Management and Services Division, Voskuil assisted with the integration of DesktopStandard's PolicyMaker into Windows Server 2008 as Group Policy Preferences and of DesktopStandard's GPOVault into the highly successful Microsoft Desktop Optimization Pack (MDOP) as Advanced Group Policy Management (AGPM), and served as an architect in the product team that owns Windows Server Update Services and Group Policy.
Voskuil holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He is a 10-year veteran of the U.S. Navy, where he had a successful career as an F/A-18 pilot, Top Gun graduate and Strike Fighter Tactics Instructor. He also developed a flight operations management and scheduling software system that was used across the Hornet community.
