BeyondTrust Names Ken Saunders Chief Financial Officer

Carlsbad, Calif.August 10, 2010 — BeyondTrust, the leading provider of privilege delegation and authorization management, today announced the appointment of Ken Saunders as Chief Financial Officer. As CFO, Saunders will guide all aspects of the company’s financial operations. A senior finance executive with 25 years of experience, Saunders has broad experience managing and driving the financial growth of both private and public companies.

“BeyondTrust is the clear leader in privilege delegation and authorization management for servers, desktops, virtualized and cloud-based computing environments,” said Saunders. As CFO, I look forward to working with BeyondTrust’s executive team to drive the company’s growth as we help organizations eliminate the misuse of privileges, generate audits and comply with regulatory requirements.”

Immediately prior to joining BeyondTrust, Saunders was CFO of Bazaarvoice, which he helped more than double in size during his two year tenure. Saunders remains a board adviser to the company. Before joining Bazaarvoice, Saunders served as CFO of enterprise software company Open Solutions. Prior to that, he served as CFO of Peregrine Systems, helping turn the company around after a Chapter 11 filing and negotiating its sale to HP in December 2005. Saunders was also CFO of analytical application software company HNC Software, serving the company through its acquisition by Fair Isaac Corp. in 2002. He then served as CFO of Fair Isaac, overseeing global finance and accounting, tax, investor relations and legal operations.

“As more companies move to secure the increasing risks in server, desktop, virtualized and cloud environments, BeyondTrust will continue on a rapid growth trajectory,” said John Mutch, CEO of BeyondTrust. “Having worked with him before at HNC and Peregrine Systems, Ken is the ideal person to lead our financial strategy.”

After Fair Isaac, Saunders joined Peregrine Systems where he helped turn around the company from a financial scandal that put the company through bankruptcy. Peregrine was sold to Hewlett Packard in December 2005 for more than $400 million. Upon completion of this sale, Ken joined Open Solutions, an enterprise software company to the financial services industries, in January 2006 as its CFO.

Saunders has a demonstrated track record of growth and value creation. Saunders took HNC’s market capitalization from approximately $100 million to more than $2 billion during his tenure. As CFO of Fair Isaac, he managed revenue growth from $350 million to $700 million.
