John Mutch, Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Mutch has been an operating executive and investor in
the technology industry for over 25 years and has a long, sustained
track record of creating shareholder value through both activities.
Prior to joining BeyondTrust as CEO in 2008, Mr. Mutch was
a founder and managing partner of MV Advisors, LLC, a strategic
block investment firm which provides focused investment and
strategic guidance to small and mid-cap technology companies.
Prior to founding MV Advisors, In March of 2003 Mr. Mutch was
appointed by the U.S. Bankruptcy court to the Board of Directors
of Peregrine Systems. He assisted that company in a bankruptcy
work out proceeding and was named President and CEO in July
of 2003. Mr. Mutch ran Peregrine Systems operating the company
under an SEC consent decree, restating five years of operating
results and successfully restructuring the company culminating
in a sale to HP for $425 million dollars in December of 2005.
Prior to running Peregrine, Mr. Mutch served as President, CEO
and a Director of HNC Software, an enterprise analytics software
provider. Under his leadership, the company nearly doubled revenue
and successfully spun out Retek in an IPO which returned more
than $2.5 billion to shareholders. HNC Software was sold to
Fair Isaac Corporation in August of 2002 for $825 million. Prior
to HNC Software, Mr. Mutch spent seven years at Microsoft Corporation
in a variety of executive sales and marketing positions. Mr.
Mutch previously served on the boards of Edgar Online (NASDAQ:EDGR),
Aspyra (Amex:APY), Overland Storage (Nasdaq:OVRL) and Brio Software.
He currently serves on the board of Adaptec Inc. (Nasdaq:ADPT)
as a director designee of Steel Partners and the board of Agilysys
(Nasdaq:AGYS) as a director designee of Ramius Capital. Mr.
Mutch holds an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago and a B.S.
from Cornell University where he serves on the advisory board
for the undergraduate school of business.
Ken Saunders, Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Saunders is a senior finance executive with 25 years
experience, Saunders has broad experience managing and driving
the financial growth of both private and public companies. As
CFO, Saunders will guide all aspects of the company’s financial
operations.
Immediately prior to joining BeyondTrust, Saunders was CFO
of Bazaarvoice, which he helped triple in size during his two
year tenure. Saunders remains a board adviser to the company.
Before joining Bazaarvoice, Saunders served as CFO of enterprise
software company Open Solutions. Prior to that, he served as
CFO of Peregrine Systems, helping turn the company around after
a Chapter 11 filing and negotiating its sale to HP in December
2005. Saunders was also CFO of analytical application software
company HNC Software, serving the company through its acquisition
by Fair Isaac Corp. in 2002. He then served as CFO of Fair Isaac,
overseeing global finance and accounting, tax, investor relations
and legal operations.
After Fair Isaac, Saunders joined Peregrine Systems where
he helped turn around Peregrine after a financial scandal put
the company through bankruptcy. Peregrine was sold to Hewlett
Packard in December 2005 for over $400 million. Upon completion
of this sale, Ken joined Open Solutions, an enterprise software
company to the financial services industries, in January 2006
as its CFO.
Geoff Haggart, President of BeyondTrust International
Mr. Haggart leads all international aspects of BeyondTrust,
including customer relations and support, business development,
operations and international revenue growth. Mr. Haggart brings
more than 30 years of global sales and software industry experience
to his role.
Before joining BeyondTrust, Mr. Haggart most recently served
as senior vice president of international sales at Websense.
There he oversaw the growth of the company’s international business
from $1.5 million in 1999 to $150 million annually. As the first
international employee with the role of developing and expanding
business in EMEA, Mr. Haggart oversaw the formation of sales
and marketing teams in offices worldwide including Eastern Europe,
Middle East, India and China. Mr. Haggart previously served
as vice president of international sales at Continuus Software.
Prior to that he also held various management positions at Legent,
culminating in his role as Vice President of Sales, Northern
Europe.
Mr. Haggart graduated from Hutcheson’s Boys Grammar school
in Glasgow and today resides in the London area.
Brian T. Anderson, Chief Marketing Officer
Mr. Anderson brings more than 25 years of global enterprise
software and security industry experience to BeyondTrust where
he will be responsible for all aspects of corporate brand development,
lead and demand generation to increase awareness and interest
in all customer and investor segments. In addition, he will
be responsible for building a VAR channel to expand distribution
for BeyondTrust products globally.
Prior to BeyondTrust, Anderson served as a serially successful
chief marketing officer for several venture-funded companies.
At Siderean Software his branding efforts garnered rave reviews
and numerous awards including “innovator” status in the Gartner
Magic Quadrant. At Avamar Technologies, his leadership resulted
in a huge revenue increase and numerous awards. Avamar was subsequently
acquired by EMC. Prior to Avamar, Anderson was director of marketing
at IBM’s Tivoli Security and Storage, a role he inherited after
successful building industry leader Access360’s brand and sales
pipeline through successful positioning for a sale to IBM. Anderson
also served as CMO of HNC Software, which experienced tremendous
growth during his tenure and was successfully acquired by Fair
Isaac in 2002.
Anderson served for seven years prior to HNC at FileNet Corporation
culminating in his role as vice president, worldwide corporate
marketing. At FileNet, Anderson built a tremendous global channel
organization that ultimately represented almost 50 percent of
the company’s revenue.
Mr. Anderson received his B.S. degree in Computer Science
from the University of New Orleans.
Jeff Nielsen, Vice President of Engineering
Mr. Nielsen leads BeyondTrust's engineering and quality assurance
departments. He is a software veteran and brings over 20 years
of experience to the company's engineering team.
Before joining BeyondTrust, Mr. Nielsen held management positions
at software vendor Computer Associates, Platinum Technology,
and IT management positions at Zenith Insurance and Tecolote
Research. His background includes development, technical support,
product management, services, operations and business management
experience. Most recently, Mr. Nielsen worked as an independent
consultant managing software implementation and development
projects.
Mr. Nielsen holds a B.A. from Occidental College in Economics.
Natasha Bergeron, Vice President of Human Resources
As Vice President of Human Resources, Mrs. Bergeron drives
BeyondTrust’s recruitment, performance management, and employee
plans. Bergeron brings 15 years of experience in Human Resources,
with the past nine years at high growth technology companies,
including Bowstreet Software, Computer Associates, and Sophos,
Inc.
Bergeron received a B.S. in Industrial and Organizational
Psychology from Notre Dame College. She is a Certified Human
Resource Professional and an active member of several industry
associations including the New England Human Resource Association
and the Society for Human Resource Management.
